El magnífic monestir de Sant Cugat del Vallès, un dels més bonics i ben conservats de Catalunya.
El gran finestral de l'abside central és d'època gòtica, on varen considerar que els faltava llum, dins l'església romànica.
Aquí es poden veure els seus fonaments, sobre la fortificació romana de Castrum Octavianum.

The beautiful romanesque abbey of Sant Cugat del Vallès, one of the best preserved and easy to reach in Catalonia. The medieval buildings stand above a late-Roman castellum (Castrum Octavianum), and date mostly from the XII-XIV Centuries. It also has one of the most beautiful Romanesque cloisters in Catalonia.
In gothic times they opened this large window in the main apses, as surely they considered the already old church to be quite dark.
Here you can see the remains of the castrum below the Romanesque apses.
