Molt menys conegut que Oskar Schindler, Julius Madrisch també fou un alemany que procurà ajudar i salvar els jueus que treballaven a la seva fàbrica, en aquest cas, de roba. Primer instalà l'empresa en aquest edifici de la plaça principal de Podgórze i formalment dins del ghetto de Cracovia.
Quan el ghetto fou liquidat, Madrisch va situar una factoria dins dels terrenys del camp de Plaszow. Amon Goeth volia eliminar la majoria dels seus treballadors perque "eren massa vells", però Madrisch va aconseguir protegir-los. Ara be, sembla que quan Plaszow fou evacuat per la proximitat del front sovietic, Madrisch no va poder organitzar una nova fàbrica més al oest, com Schindler. Amb tot, més de 60 dels seus treballadors foren adjuntats a la famosa llista. També forma part dels "Justos entre les nacions" del memorial Yad Vashem sobre l'Holocaust.

Much less known than Oskar Schindler, Julius Madrisch was also a German who tried to help and save the Jews who worked in his textile company. First he installed the factory in this building in the main square of Podgórze and formally in the ghetto of Krakow.
When the ghetto was liquidated, Madrisch relocated the factory within the grounds of the Plaszow camp. Kommandant Amon Goeth wanted to eliminate most of his workers because "they were too old", but Madrisch managed to protect them. Now, it seems that when Plaszow was evacuated due to the proximity of the Soviet front, Madrisch could not organize a new factory further west, like Schindler. In all, more than 60 of his workers were attached to the famous list. He is also part of the "Righteous Among the Nations" at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial.
