En el punt més alt del crater de La Crosa de Sant Dalmai, prop de Girona, es troba aquesta curiosa ermita. Curiosa tant pel nom com per la seva situació actual, dalt un crater volcanic i fortificada amb un gran fossat tot al entorn seu.
El fossat fou de fet un afegit modern, ja que la ermita, ja en ruines, fou convertida en torre de senyals militar durant les Guerres Carlines.

At the highest point of the crater of La Crosa de Sant Dalmai, near Girona, is this curious hermitage. Curious both because of the name (Saint Lupus) and because of its current situation, above a volcanic crater and fortified with a large moat all around it.
The moat was in fact a modern addition, since the hermitage, already in ruins, was converted into a military signal tower during the Carline Wars, arround 1875.
