El poblet occità de Pena (Penne en francès), es troba arraulit sota el seu espectacular castell, protegit alhora per la seva propia muralla. L'entrada principal es troba sota el campanar de l'església, fent també de porta de la muralla i torre de defensa.

The main street in the beautiful fortified village of Penne, in the Tarn, has it's entrance under the bell tower, and opens into what now it's its main square.
It's interesting how the church was "inverted" after the village lost it's defensive valour, and the main door now stands in the middle of the gothic apse.
