The traditional Ebre river delta housing was this kind of "barraca" (literally, shack), quite beautiful as a traditional house, but usually linked to a harsh and miserable life. Today is quite dificult to see still standing barraques, albeit some have been preserved and others even newly built as tourist accomodations.
