La bateria d'artilleria de costa construida pels republicans durant la guerra civil a Punta Nati, Menorca, requeria camuflatge urgent enmig del secaner plà que l'envolta. Per això fou prou habil qui decidí fer els bunquers en forma de tipica barraca de bestiar de la zona.

Although odd-looking, those 1938 old artillery bunkers are quite well camouflaged. This is the spanish republican army coastal battery in Punta Nati, Menorca. The surrounding landscape is completely flat and treeless, so, how you camo huge structures for heavy artillery? The only possible idea is like a local "barraca", or husbandry cow hut, which are built in dry stone.
