"Hello Spring" Shakespeare Flowers
I love this flower stamp, especially for coloring with Distress Markers! And this quote with the font. LOVE!
The flower stamp is a discontinued Hero Arts stamp called Super Flower Basket. I stamped it in black StazOn just above the basket line so it looks more like a garden. Then I colored it with distress inks and a water brush. There's a touch of blue in the background between the flowers to give it a bit of depth and make it look more finished but I didn't want the blue to overwhelm the colors of the flowers so I kept it pretty subtle. I them loosely fussy cut the flower set and mounted it on purple paper to make it stand out a bit more from the white card base.
The purple/grey (it photographed oddly) paper is a scrap from my stash, not sure who makes it. The sentiment is from Flourishes Botanical Bookplates I stamp that I won in a giveaway. I stamped in Versamark ink, then embossed with detail white powder by Recollections. Then I cut the banner ends.
The sentiment inside says "Hello Spring" and is from the same Flourishes stamp set
It didn't photograph, but there are also score lines, 2 across the top and 2 down the left side about a 1/2" apart to finish the card off.
I'm submitting this for Hero Arts' color challenge with the soft purple, yellow, blue and green, as well as the monthly theme of "Hello Spring".
