Car park off Waterworks Street, Ipswich c. 1989/90
Think I took a few photos around here for a college project. The cars captured would then have been common, but are now of some interest to me.
From L-R, fairly low-spec 1979 Cortina 1.6 KVX695V (DVLA off-road 1992), 1979 Talbot Sunbeam 1.3GL HBJ612V (again off-road 1992), 1978/79 Mini, Nissan Micra, Talbot Horizon and (I think) a Nissan Bluebird, with a Fiesta in the foreground. Wonder if the Cortina ended its days as a banger at the Foxhall Raceway, and the Sunbeam as a Saloon Stock car?
The car park is still there, located SE of the junction between Waterworks Street and Eagle Street. Part of the Ipswich Co-Op empire?
