1998 Lexus LS400 Mk4
Took a couple of shots of this local car last year. I had a chat with the owner then and gave him my number, got a call from him today as he's now looking to sell it. It wasn't raining and what else better could I do than go for a quick viewing on a Tuesday lunchtime?
Very interesting to take it out for a drive and compare it with my Mk3. This later one definitely feels livelier with its more powerful engine (gearbox maybe revised too?). Ride surprised me by feeling firmer, despite the fact mine wears 18" wheels and low profile tyres compared to 16's on this one.
With MoT until Nov 2015, four new tyres, new battery and various other things done it offers very, very good value for what he's offered it at to me. Trouble is, with the purchase of another Datsun and an MoT due on my current LS400 I'm not sure taking on another one would be very wise...
I've got a little bit of time to think about it, we'll see what works out.
