LOTR miniature: as Saruman is the wizard of many colours (white broken into its constituents like light by a prism) I actually used every primary colour in layers upon layers of dry brushing going from purple to yellow and finally finishing with a heavier bone white drybrush. Skin had a wash of ogryn flesh over the white dry brushing and the cloak a thinned Badab black wash. Just some specific highlighting finished it off with mostly watered down white.
