Townsville Traffic Police - SV6 'Highway Patrol' 469•MEM
A brand new Holden Commodore SV6 marked Highway Patrol vehicle for the North Queensland division of the Queensland Police traffic agency, No ANPR on this patrol car (Not sure if Queensland are fitting them?). Taken near Townsville North Queensland.
Love these cars, What I found interesting though was the use of V6's opposed to there previous model V8's - I think its partially to do with the governments need to reduce emissions and the fact QLD Police are NOT aloud to pursue.
Also fitted with the Defender Code 3 LED lightbar which is pretty cool and don't see much of here. Can also see the 'speed laser detector' in view which looks like a simple 'plug in system'.
Also notice the reflective strips above the checkers use to be orange and now are blue. Looks great!
