111 vilnius National Museum of Lithuania
Taken in August 2014. I need some men in suits with the dark glasses to control who walks through my pictures. I could have done without the lady carrying the flowers (sorry, madam, no offence intended).
The museum was founded in 1855 and is now established in this and other adjacent buildings. The monument to King Mindaugas (Lithuania's first and only king) was unveiled in front of the Lithuanian National Museum on 6 July 2003 when the 750th anniversary of the coronation of Mindaugas was commemorated. The sculptor is Regimantas Midvikis. The Castle tower looks down on the scene.
