U.S.S. Princeton Ship's Bell

Located in Monument Park in Princeton, New Jersey, this is the bell of the American Warship the USS Princeton launched in 1844. While on a pleasure cruise down the Potomac River with President Tyler and his Cabinet on-board one of her guns exploded killing the Secretaries of State and Navy along with other officers. The President was safe.
