Dream Cruise
The Dream Cruise. Motor city, baby.... we have an event in the Detroit area that people drive from ALL over for. It's called the Dream Cruise and it is basically hundreds of classic cars and muscle cars and gorgeous restored vehicles from all eras and countries... and they cruise....
The official cruise cover around 10-ish miles and passes a block from my house. My city is all decked out. The downtown is closed off and at the end of my street we have a "Safety Vehicle" show which is tons of old police cars and fire trucks. Crazy old sirens have been sounding all day. I love it.
Our local fire department set up an area for the kids to come and try out the fire hose. Sooooo cool. I love my town. Right now there is a live band playing and we went and hung out for a bit - they also have mechanical bull riding right on the main drag and monster trucks. We got lemonaide and Elephant ears a couple of hours ago and hung out to look at muscle cars. I love me some muscle cars.
