I Don't Do Flowers......

But I have the utmost respect for those of you who do. The ability to shoot something that is already beautiful and really make it stand out I find inspiring.

I've tried a number of times to shoot flowers and I am always disappointed. They tend to look plain and like nothing special (see below), so when I do shoot them I try to be really different. So, after trying a number of different angles isolating this against a blue sky I went and shot this almost straight into the sun filtering through the trees and really like the outcome.

 

I have no idea what this is so if anyone knows please let me know.
