A view down into the valley
On day two of our hike to 1000 Acre Plateau, it is about a 15 minute walk from the hut continuing above Lake Matiri to a rocky and at parts boggy flat to the start of the 750m climb to the plateau. The climb flattens out for a while mid way. These photos are taken from the hut to the first steep section.
