Keep out!

These lagoons are made from muck left over from nearby Cockenzie Powerstation which are used as nature reserves (and also a boating lake).

 

The grey ash looks very alien and like a weird desolate wasteland (the only human life being the occasional birdwatcher). A great place to photograph- just be sure to wear wellies!
