Paper Cranes
These garlands of paper cranes were at the A-Bomb Flame in Ueno Park, Tokyo. The cranes reference the story of Sadako Sasaki, the little girl that perished from Leukemia, 10 years after the bomb was dropped. She was trying to fold a 1000 origami cranes to get her wish for health. The paper cranes now are a sign of peace.
