Rock Island U30C's, Silvis, IL
Much of the Rock Island's diesel fleet found a new home after the 1980 shutdown but the 18 CRI&P U30C's seen here languished at Silvis until they were cut up in 1989. A few of us (including Godfather Dziobko) were here to shoot some new Chrome Crankshaft releases from the shop when I saw them here and took the shot.
