UP 9086, Waterloo, NE
The last 4 weeks have seen an increasing amount of winter weather, with at least 4 storm passing thru in the last 10 days and temperatures running 20 degrees below normal. Today with Kodackrome skies, I pulled myself away from my daughter's equestrian lession in Elkhorn and took 90" to check out nearby Fremont. As luck would have it, there were 4 train on the Omaha Sub, and I would have chased the Valley local to Lincoln had I not had to return to pick up my daughter.
TSOD was finally catching a fairly new 9000 on an east bound manifest in downtown Waterloo, where the urban environment has kept the snow clear of any deer tracks.
