USN Blue Angel(s) practicing for the 2023 NAF El Centro Air Show
I took these photos on 03/10/2023 at Naval Air Facility El Centro. This was the day before the annual air show. Everyone wanted to get some practice time in before the big event, so we, and a large group of spotters were there to check them out. Quick weather note - this day was extremely windy - almost at a steady 25 mph with gust hitting 40 mph. The area around the airport are farm fields and dust was everywhere. No one was sure if the Blues were going to practice today. Before the Blues did take off, we had a chance a see other performers getting some practice time in. Fun event, despite the nasty wind - blah!
