Fashion statement on Mykonos

This was our first full day on Mykonos - we still weren't sure how we felt about it. We spent the prior evening walking around the main town and weren't impressed. It reminded us of a town set up solely for cruise ship passengers - every other building was a jewelry shop or expensive restaurant. On this day we hopped a bus and went to Paradise Beach to check it out. Very nice. We then walked along a trail that connected 5 beaches - nice walk but it was ungodly hot and we were soaked by the time we got to the last beach. Heather did her best to support the local economy (again) and picked up some nice outfits. We headed back to the room for a siesta and beer or two. I wanted to walk down to the harbor for the sunset. Heather was tired of walking so she sent me off on my own. Big sad eyes. The sunset actually was pretty nice - it was crowded but not like the madness we experienced on Oia. Mykonos has a reputation as a party island and we're not party animals. I think we wanted to be back on Santorini already!
