Caples Lake, west of Carson Pass, Spring breakup
We were headed to Yosemite National Park to check out the falls this year. After an overnight in South Lake Tahoe, our route took us over the Carson Pass Highway (CA State Route 88) . It was one of the few passes over the Sierras; heavy snowfall still closed most of the passes. We had a beautiful day with a lot of photo stops. Life is good.
I took these photos in early June 2017 between South Lake Tahoe and the west side of Carson Pass.
