Reflection in Prince William Sound
Way back in May 2012 we had a streak of gorgeous weather in Anchorage - bright blue skies, warm temps, a day made for a glacier cruise. I went down to Whittier to check one out since it was a few years since my last cruise. When I came out of the tunnel and entered Whittier it was like being on another planet - very heavy overcast, misty drizzle, and it was bitterly cold - yuck! I had my ticket already or I would have gone home and tried again some other time. I was on a small cruise boat and it was fairly empty. We took off to check out some glaciers but couldn't see much for the first half of the cruise - low clouds and it wasn't fun standing outside - and I had my winter gear with me. Things brightened up a little after a bit, we got close to several glaciers, didn't see much wildlife, but all in all it ended up being a nice day. I do look forward to doing some more of these in the future!
