Green Arrow, Dentdale, March 1978

LNER Gresley V2 2-6-2 No. 4771 GREEN ARROW heads the Carlisle to Leeds leg of the up Norfolkman onto Dent Head viaduct on 27th March 1978.

The train, which originated from Euston, was named The Norfolkman in recognition of Bill Harvey, a onetime shedmaster at Norwich who played a major part in the restoration of GREEN ARROW. The railtour also marked the return of steam to the Settle & Carlisle line.
