The Order of the Star of Honor of Ethiopia was ranked along side the Order of Menelik II as the fifth ranking orders of the Empire of Ethiopia. The Order of Menelik II was granted to foriegn and domestic civilian and military officials and individuals for service to the country.
The Cordon was a green yellow and red sash, and worn from the right shoulder to the left hip with the plaque hanging at the left hip.
