First day on the 151
As from today Stotts of Oldham have commenced operation on the 151 and little MX10DXD looking extremely well presented is seen on Oldham Road. I can’t help feeling that this change of operator is not good for anyone in the long term, an infrequent hourly service in an area dominated by First and Stagecoach is surely going to see a drop in patronage, such an infrequent service where the major day tickets can no longer be used, well which would you use. Of course like many other services the majority of ridership will be the silver surfers with their own bus passes, that is until the passes are withdrawn due to budget cuts, then the buses will run empty until the service is then withdrawn due to lack of passengers, when will they ever learn.
