Lackawanna Plaza Buildings, Montclair, NJ
This isn't really part of the Lackawanna Station Shopping Center, but what the heck . . ..
These buildings, next to the Lackawanna Station complex, are just to the north of the original terminal building.
You really can't blame the economy for the complete desolation surrounding these buildings. Because the area around Lackawanna Plaza - a connector street, not really a plaza - has been so dingy and drab for so long, there's no real reason to come here unless you have to. (And if you have to go to the Lackawanna Station shopping center, I pity you. I pity you like you wouldn't believe!)
The redevelopment of this area was a joke, and the graffiti-laden parking lot gate at the left side of the building indicates it as a pretty bad joke. Up in the top of the office building on the right is another real estate sign.
I photographed one of these buildings before to show where an old Buick dealership had been.
