Two-Door Audi 100 LS, Pottstown Car Show

The Audi 100 LS was, along with the Super 90, the first Audi offered here when the marque set up shop in America for the 1970 model year. The car had a reputation for spotty quality, but some of them have duruvved, like this two-door model at the Pottstown show.

The Audi 100 was available in the U.S. from 1970 to 1977. had its number changed to 5000 in the U.S. market for no apparent reason when the car's second generation appeared in the late seventies. Ironically, the number went back to 100 for the car's fourth and final generation after the third generation's "unintended acceleration" debacle.
