This is a 2019 Volkswagen Golf, seventh generation, with the 1.4-liter TSI engine. Yes, some Americans still appreciate a good, inexpensive European hatchback. Too bad Volkswagen of America doesn't appreciate the Americans who buy the base Golf, preferring to offer only the GTI and R here from now on. >:-(
