Ragtop Bug
Another oval window Bug - this one a 1956 model - but also one with a vinyl "ragtop" sunroof. Such a feature was popular with many a VW buyer, but the feature was considered impractical and replaced by a steel sunroof in 1964.
Among the new features for 1956 were adjustable front seatbacks.
Though tubular bumper overriders were standard equipment by 1956, this owner elected to install Euro bumpers on his car. :-)
