One Mean Pickup
Although Volkswagen Transporters were originally developed as vans for commercial and passenger purposes, the Transporter concept was extended to other forms of trucks. This 1964 Pickup is one of them. A double-cab, it foresaw the 3+3 cabs of Chevrolet pickups in the seventies. (With front bench seats having gone the way of the dodo, double-cab pickups are 2+3 these days.)
The menacing mag wheels make this pickup look aggressive, but it's no more of a threat than standard Transporters of the fifties and sixties (i.e., it's just as slow).
