THANKYOU each and everyone of you lovely people for your messages, they are very appreciated.
We know lots of successfull ops, especially on knees are done every day....and this will soon be behind us. but we are particularly worried because Vic is has had a pulmonary embolism in the past and various thrombosis, meaning he is on the blood thinning drug warfarin for life....
Because of this Vic was asked to go into hospital three days before the op to come off this medication and be given clot busting drugs injected into the stomach...
There was an error made with the drugs administered and very luckily noticed just before surgery....he was sent home, with a district nurse continuing with the correct amount at home until his blood was right....now he is back in hospital for a second time in a couple of weeks..He is scared..
LOVE YOU VIC x
At six o'clock this evening Vic is still in theatre....on my way to see him now...
THANKYOU everyone, speak to you later x x
ALL IS WELL... Vic went to surgery at 3.20 but never came back until 7.45...the waiting was not good. but it all turned out well in the end thank goodness..
He had two epidurals and was totally aware of what was going on.
The surgeon was joking around and talking to Vic throughout the operation.... saying things like what happened to that bolt and telling the other person to mix some cement etc..
He looked so much happier and relaxed tonight..
