The Bereiss Painter

A bearbed man wearing a withe cloth is standing over a chariot drawn by four horses; the reins and the whip are in his hands, he is ready to go. On both sides of the quadriga there are a woman and a warrior with shield and spear. Probably it’s a scene of farewell.
