Crossrail ED's
It seems to have been relatively quiet on the railway front around London from the end of September to October. However, in recent weeks a new spoil flow has opened up from Northfleet in Kent to Willesden in connection with the on going works for the Crossrail project. GBRF have been supplying class 73's for this train making it a welcome chance to catch these locomotives on something other than engineering and test trains.
On October 30th Intercity liveried class 73 no.73205 leads BR blue 73208 under the Brighton Mainline, close to Latchmere Junction with 6M94 11:09 Northfleet Lafarge-Willesden Euroterminal. Europe's tallest building, The Shard, can be seen dominating the London skyline in the background.
