Buzzing spider

So named for the male's habit of vibrating his abdomen on a dead leaf as part of his courtship routine. Apparently it is quite audible.

 

The double chevron mark in the middle of the abdomen, with a black border around it, is completely characterstic of this spider in the UK fauna.

 

The record is new for Cefn Ila.
