Matt Cory
Protein count
Matt: I can't find a way to make this legible, but this is the meter
from the multi-test dip. It's made by Roche Diagnostics (cat. no 418
003), Chemistrip 10UA REagent Strips for Urinalysis for in Vitro
Diagnostic Use. This only part of the guide; it actually has 11 tests
on each strip. The top set of yellow-to-green swatches is the protein
test. Text to the left of the row of blocks is "protein/30-60 sec."
Beneath the blocks, left to right, appears "neg", "trace", "+/30",
"++/100", "+++/500mg/dL." A nurse just told us there is no "4-plus", so
the "3-plus" we heard this morning is a symptom of severe
pre-eclampsia. As I mentioned, though, Dr Hammond wasn't particularly
worried.
When I get home, I'll put some of her used strips on the flatbed canner
and post those images.
