Calling this a rifle is a bit dubious due to its ridiculous proportions and firepower. Fully automatic and feeding from a linkless feed system as either a backback or more commonly from the internal ammunition bay of a HCP. A recoiling barrel and internal counter-recoil systems are used to mitigate as much of the recoil as possible.
Paired with a CyberLink Broadspectrum Ballistic Scope allow a sufficiently trained cyborg to lay withering fire on enemy infantry and light vehicles, humans and others alike.
Like all equipment from Outland Industries the Type-145 is packed with redundant components and capabilities. In case the linkless feed belt is damaged it can be easily dropped off and operation may continue from detachable 4 round magazines until repairs can be assumed.
