When Love Isn't Love
Chapter #1: Him and I
I awoke from a hazy dream. A boy with amazing hair and a great smile was sitting on a swing in a meadow. His blue eyes met mine. Then a girl came. She had blonde hair and was screaming her head off at him. She yelled and he ran away. The knife came down at me. She cursed and snarled at me. I felt trapped. "Serena wake up".
Sam sat at the foot of my bed. She only came on Thursdays. She was apart of a BGC and she was the only sister I could relate to.
"Sam ", I said as my brown eyes sparkled. I got up and hugged her. She smelled like alcohol and flowers. Though she never drank there was always the aroma of alcohol.
"Hiya kid, Mom made breakfast", Sam said winking. Mom was never the best cook. She was more of a business woman. Not a chef. Sam left the room. I got up and kissed my Blood On The Dance Floor poster. I ran my finger along my wrist. My cuts felt worse. I got dressed in a tank-top and a crop top Sam gave to me. I was surprised I could fit in it because I was fat. I went through anorexia at once. Sam caught me throwing away food and forced me to eat something because she cared.
As I walked out through the door Sonja bumped into me.
"Ugh watch it Serena", Sonja shouted, "You never look where you are going, God". I leaped downstairs before Sonja could continue her ranting. I hurried and ate the best parts of Mom's waffles. Sierra was organizing my art pad and pencils.
"Erra you didn't have to do that for me", I said dropping them in my bag.
"Oh...I guess I shouldn't have", Sierra said watching me dump them in my bag. She was a neat freak. As I was heading out the door Sam gave me a hug and took off in her Jeep. It was a gift from our brother who died 3 years ago. I was only 12 when it happened. Anyways I walked to the park which is a mile walk from our house. I sat down on a bench and started sketching the park. I numbered all my pages. I had a number of 118 pages. 54 of which were filled with drawings of the park. Each drawing was the same, yet different. Some had a squirrel running around a tree, a duck being fed by Mrs. Catz, a nice lady who owns over 50 cats, different people. I started to sketch on page 55. Then I saw him the boy from my dream. Was it him?.....
Dun dun dunnnnnn. Thank you Denny for making me write a story. Can anyone guess who the "boy" is?
