British Aerospace Sea Harrier F/A2 ZH801 Code 001
British Aerospace Sea Harrier F/A2 ZH801 Code 001 was withdrawn from service in 2004, and was stored at RNAS Yeovilton, being used as a spares source for the Sea Harrier force. Subsequently re-assembled, ZH801 was transported to RAF Cottesmore, to act as a hangar guardian for 800 NAS; another Sea Harrier was to act as hangar guardian for 801 NAS.
Somewhere along the way the two aircraft were re-painted in the incorrect schemes and serials. Thus, Sea Harrier ZH801 Code 001 became ZH800 Code 123 (in 801 NAS markings), whilst Sea Harrier ZH800 Code 123 became ZH801 Code 001 (in 800 NAS markings).
Finally Sea Harrier ZH801 Code 001 was returned by road to RNAS Yeoviltonon on the 22nd June 2011.
