Fragrant Water Lily
This morning I went birding down in Windsor Vermont, hoping to meet a birding group at a floodplain forest where they often see yellow-billed cuckoos. The group never arrived, unfortunately, so I headed over to Lake Runnemede. There were some good birds, including a juvenile Common Loon, but no good bird photos. There was, however, a small pond completely covered with these gorgeous water lilies, some of which were close enough to the shore tat I could get macro shots.
Stay tuned, as tomorrow I will be in Quebec near the St. Lawrence. Will stay there for three days, hope to see some good northern birds.
