Also known as the "Dixie Lee" and possibly "Belle of Baltimore II" (the aircraft served with many bombing units including the 95th, 379th, 306th, 92nd, 218th BG, 305th, 384th BG).

The identity and or history of 42-3061 has been confused in numerous publications due to the many units it was assigned to. A 422nd Squadron B-17 bomber (42-3061) was claimed to be promptly shot down by a Focke-Wulf FW-190A near Frankfurt at 10:25 PM, and five members of the crew were killed while another five became prisoners-of-war.
