In a campaign to increase viewer loyalty throughout heart land Australia, Channel 7 News set up a temporary studio to broadcast live from the Royal Easter Show, Sydney in 2010.
The news was broadcast live from the studio throughout the day with studio tours run for the general public between broadcasts. The studio tours gave viewers an opportunity read the news from the auto cue, meet presenters who signed fan cards and posed for photographs and ask crew questions relating to news production.
The engagement exercise was hugely successful with hundreds of viewers through the studio each day.
