Tardebigge 190721 3447

St Bartholomews Church, Tardebigge, near Bromsgrove. The name Tardebigge means 'tower on the hill', probably from the Saxon church that was here from around 974 CE. The 11th century Norman church also had a tower, but this collapsed in 1775, the majority of this replacement building being completed two years later. This photo was taken around 7 p.m. on what had been a hot day, with the temperatures still in the mid 20s C.
