I painted the pages a dark brown and then covered them with crackle medium. When the medium was tacky, I painted over with a light brown. As it dried, the crackle medium did its work and created the crackle look. I used a quote by "Mark Twain" for this page. Actually, the entire book is made up of quotes, with appropriate pictures to go along with them. I distressed the card stock using a "direct-to-paper" technique with my ink pads. I chose to change the pictures over to black and white so that I didn't have to stick to a strict color theme, though I did choose to use earth tones for this book. I used epoxy alphabet stickers for Brian's name. The patterned paper was actually a backing of the packaging a blank album had come in. I knew it would come in handy somewhere.
