Day 1072 - Day 342
Lifetime Dream # 151 of my list of 155: I will complete my second journal of 3,000 pages, reflecting on the many paths and experiences that I walk through day after day, month after month. I will keep the same design with parchment paper, and make each page's design unique.
Journaling has always been a part of my life in one form or another… in a way this blog on Flickr is a form of journaling I suppose. There’s just something different to me about writing your thoughts as opposed to typing them out. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia of writing- a slowly-dying art form (think about how many letters you’ve written and mailed in the last year… or hand notes you’ve passed as opposed to e-mailing or texting!).
I am slowly trying to get back to this practice… I completed my first 3,000-page journal in 2008, and have since started a new journal. I just had to put that writing on hold for a time. Hopefully that time is ending soon. I changed the second journal up just a bit with how I am doing the page numbers and they texts of runes at the top and bottom. They are still cryptic messages or texts that moved my world, written and re-ordered to flow together into a series that I guess only makes sense to me.
I started writing through some things this morning, and I forgot how nice it feels to get things out. I love a warm cup of coffee, wonderful music and lights… and a head full of thoughts. So much to say, but so little time unfortunately.
