Day 6361 - Day 152 - Kansas City
I almost always stay in Kansas City on my way home from Colorado. It's usually a low-key one night stay, where I roll into town, have a rest, then leave early the next morning for home.
Staying in Kansas City evolved from just a town to stay in, to that last memory of a long journey that I finished (the journey of going mountain climbing in Colorado). The journey to mountain climbing starts months and months ahead of time- working on a training plan, mountain climbing plan, mean plan, etc.
I have great memories of going out for a final meal in Kansas City, sitting back and reflecting on all the joys and hiccups of the journey... The city itself I have yet to really explore but my memories of this town all center around the word "closure"... a great way to end a very long journey.
