Fresh Strawberry Balsamic
Tea’s Fresh Strawberry Balsamic
Dressing:
Tools:
•Colander
•Bowl
•Knife
•Cutting board
•Blender
•**might need sieve
Ingredients:
•1 Pint of Organic Strawberries minus 6
Preparation:
Remove 5 of the most vibrant and perfect strawberries from the pint and set them aside.
Remove the stems from the rest of the pint, and rough chop them and add them to the bowl. Pour in the strawberries, cover and place in the refrigerator. Preferably 24 hours.
Remove strawberry/balsamic from the refrigerator and in a blender lightly puree. Just a couple of pulses (this is so the fruit doesn’t lose all its texture.)
*note: However, if you have a problem with strawberry seeds, you can puree the mixture smooth using a powerful blender like a vitamix or using a standard blender you can blend smooth and run the mixture through a sieve to extract the seeds. Whenever you can you should eat seeds as they are great sources of nutrients. In the case of a strawberry however, the “seeds” on the outside is actually the fruit!
