November 26 - PIM RONHAAR overcomes the Belgians in Dublin and is the strongest in the Irish mud. It was his second World Cup cross of the season. In a sprint with Laurens Sweeck, the Dutchman turned out to be the fastest.
The Dutchman has definitely taken the step to the world top. After Dendermonde, the 22-year-old rider from Baloise Trek Lions now also won the World Cup in Dublin, Ireland. Again in the mud, again with panache. Although he still didn't really understand how he had done this, Ronhaar responded afterwards. And of course there was no stopping the very happy Pim Ronhaar in front of the microphones afterwards. “Apparently I like those mud courses,” responded the Dutchman. “But this was so much cooler. Winning in a sprint with Laurens Sweeck, while I'm not even a sprinter."
Pim Ronhaar (2001) is a Dutch cyclocross and road cyclist. In 2023 he rides for Baloise Trek Lions.
Ronhaar became Dutch and European junior cyclo-cross champion in the 2018-2019 season. A year later he became a promise. His best result in that first season with the reserves was third place at the Dutch championship. He became world champion at the 2021 Cyclo-cross World Championships.
