Father Michael
This is The Very Reverend Canon Michael Bamberger. I met Father Michael a year ago when I moved to Sierra Madre, CA and my family began to attend his church, The Church of the Ascension.
I selected him for the Strobist BC31 assignment because he's served as their rector since 1986. Additionally, he retired a month ago from the Sierra Madre Volunteer Fire Department where he had served for 22 years. His last position held was Battalion Chief.
Besides being an all around awesome guy, and having one of the best religious titles ever, he's served the community in two very challenging positions for over two decades. Somehow he still manages to have a smile on his face every time I see him.
Strobist Info:
SB900 camera left on lightstand, bare, triggered via PW, 1/16 (used to separate his left side from the background)
LP120 camera right on lightstand, Honl Grid, Optical triggered, 1/16 (used to light Father Michael's face, which he would argue is unnecessary and detracts from the image)
